Vivek Gadodia

Vivek is a Co-Founder at a Fin-Tech Platform based out of Mumbai offering ready-to-deploy Algo Trading strategies.
Vivek's educational background includes a degree in Commerce, Masters in Management Studies from Sydenham and an Executive Program in Applied Finance from IIM-Calcutta. He is currently pursuing MS in AI and ML from Upgrad/IIIT-B. Before launching his startup, Vivek started his career as a programmer-analyst with CMC Ltd. where he worked on developing a core ERP system for Reserve Bank of India, Vivek then moved to HSBC India and launched a fully electronic self-service HR portal catering to 30000 employees with end-to-end API linkages with the Global Payroll. Post that, he managed Trading Technology and setup the Institutional Algo Desk for MF Global Sify Securities, a spin-off from the Man Group (a Hedge Fund which runs the AHL System), when SEBI launched the DMA policy in India. He worked closely with an exceptional group of High Frequency Proprietary Traders in India called RKSV (which is now known as Upstox) and Vivek was responsible for managing execution of 3% of BSE's Daily Cash turnover using HFT systems.
Vivek is largely a self-taught trader and feels reading Ed Seykota's interview in Market Wizards has had a deep influence on him to get into systematic trading.  He started running trading systems from 2012 onwards and likes to define himself as a learning machine. At Dravyaniti, he manages the suite of Non-Correlated strategies caled Vertex which he thinks of like a Cricket Team with different players.  He led the design for KINETIC, which is an adaptive strategy in Bank Nifty Weekly options. He programs in multiple languages and is a visiting faculty for post-graduate programs and teaches Robo Advisory and Systematic Trading at BSE Training Institute / Mumbai University. Dravyaniti received angel funding from a Family Office in June 2019 and is in the process of raising it's Pre Series-A to fuel its expansion to International markets including Crypto assets.
He loves to travel and trek, especially in the Himalayan region.  He regularly plays ping pong (which at times gets intensive) and loves to work with other traders and firms in their algorithmic trading journeys as a consultant/mentor
